FAQ's
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: Advance reservations are recommended for all services and are secured by a major credit card. You may request a female or male therapist, but we cannot guarantee the availability of a particular therapist or gender. Rest assured, as all of our therapists are trained with discreet draping techniques designed to respect your privacy at all times.
Q: How do I change or cancel my appointment?
A: If you must change or cancel your spa appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled service time to avoid being charged. No-shows or cancellations within the 24 hour window of cancellation will be charged 100% of the service. Packages may not be substituted. Room charge (staying at Los Abrigados) and all major credit cards are acceptable forms of payment at the Spa.
Q: What should I wear to the Sedona Spa?
A: A spa robe, sandals, towels and a locker will be provided upon your arrival. We recommend that no jewelry be worn to the Spa. Management accepts no responsibility for the loss of money or valuables of any kind brought to the Spa. Spa amenities include our eucalyptus steam rooms, saunas, showers, whirlpools, fitness center and classes. Our classes include Yoga, Pilates, cardio, Tai Chi and more. Personal fitness training is also available and may be scheduled through our Spa receptionist. Tennis courts are available through the Activity Studio at 1.928.203.5353. Daily and weekly passes are available for purchase at the Spa desk for outside guests.
Q: Should I tip my therapist?
A: Gratuity is appreciated, but optional, and is not included in most services. However, some packages may include gratuity. If you would like to add gratuity to your service, please allow our Spa receptionist to assist you. Resort guests, with charging privileges, may charge services to their room.
Q: Is there an age requirement to use the Spa?
A: Guests must be 14 years or older to use any of the Spa facilities. If under the age of 14, children must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Q: What preparations do I need to make before my appointment?
A: Please check in with the Spa desk 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you time to prepare before your service begins. We suggest that you complement your service with a 10 minute steam in our steam room, or relax in our dry sauna or whirlpool, allowing muscles to loosen up before your service begins. It is recommended you eat lightly before a Spa treatment, avoiding a full stomach. If having an exfoliation treatment, please leave legs unshaven. For the gentleman having facials, we recommend that you leave the face unshaven. While it is customary to completely disrobe for most spa services, please undress to your comfort level. Our therapists are trained to keep you draped at all times, respecting your privacy. For Spa treatments such as Shiatsu, Cranial Sacral, and Reiki, please wear loose fitting clothing which you find most comfortable.
